Properties of Air
4 sessions | Tuesdays and Thursdays
SPRING: March 9 - March 18, 2010
5-8pm | Instructor: Gene Kennedy
Our 4-session course will help you to master an understanding of air and its properties. You'll learn to calculate and understand BTUH values, and determine air volume by weight. The importance of humidification and dehumidification will be stressed, and you'll master the ability to size electric duct heaters. You'll even see how BTUH values are computed for gas and electric bills!
Industrial and Kitchen Hood Design
8 sessions | Tuesdays and Thursdays
SPRING: March 23 - April 15, 2010
5-8 pm | Instructor: Jerry Signorile
You'll discover how all types of hoods are sized, and determine air quantities and transport velocities for hoods and duct systems. Attendees will also understand how ventilation codes dictate ventilation rates in buildings and industrial plants, and gather a working knowledge of general kitchen ventilation and industrial exhaust systems.
